Hmmm... one of the ACES GO PLACES movies w/ Sam Hui & Karl Maka? My memory about what happened in each one is pretty fuzzy, but they're the main gadget films from the 80's.

Yes, this would be the second installment in the series, Aces Go Places II, by Eric Tsang featuring Sam Hui, Karl Maka and Sylvia Chang.
The series consistes of 5 movies and are all worth a look.
I saw them for the first time when I rented them at my local video store back in the 80's, they where named Sprott Oppdrag in norwegian, roughly translates to Crazy Mission :)
Loved them then, love them now :)

I love the Aces Go Places series. I have all of them on VCD. The first four installments are available as Mad Mission in the USA. But knowing how I feel about U.S. releases of most HK films, I went to Chinatown in NYC and got the VCDs of all 5.

Sam Hui and Karl Maka made a perfect team, just wished Karl had been in the fifth one more than he was. As much as I liked Leslie Cheung, without Karl in most of the scenes, it was just sad.

hehe, movie with neat little toys that shoots lasers and missiles along with neat little motorcycles, it just had to be ACP :)
Have watched them several times since I bought them on DVD, both I and several of my friends really enjoy watching them.
