I'm afraid I can't add much but I am a moderate fan of Cheung Ying Choi. His career bridged the '50s to the '60s and it seems his '50s films are underrepresented. I will have to do a little research but I think his 1950's filmography needs more fleshing out. For myself, I would like to find some of his earlier films from this period on video.
