How is "Yesterday Once More"?

Postby timktai » Thu Oct 21, 2004 12:03 am

I'm a huge Johnnie To and Sammi Cheng fan, but in the States, so I rarely get a chance to see first run HK movies in theaters

Anyway, has anyone in HK or anywhere seen "Yesterday Once More" yet? According to HKMDB, it was supposed to be out a week or so ago.

I'm not looking for a full review, I just want to know if I should look forward to seeking this.

If you like meoldrama and Andy Lau and Sammi Cheng, check it out. Heavy handed at the end, but standard Johnnie To fare.

You better check it out now as To's headed for a big paycheck in Hollywood. So you won't see too much of him once he's gone. Unfortunely, he's taking the same road as Ringo Lam, John Woo and Tsui Hark. He won't be back until he too gets disillusioned with interfering studio suits and insurance companies and the back handed racism of Lalaland, where Asians are never seen in the same light as in HK or other Asian flicks. Oh well there goes another one.

I agree 110%

It's sad to hear that about Johnnie To. Maybe Jackie Chan has now seen the light, and can set an example to other HK talent.
