"A live action adaptation of the Initial D series is currently being filmed in Japan by the directors Johnnie To and Wai Ka Fai, who are also known for directing the Infernal Affairs trilogy."
It's good they're keeping tabs on the film, but they should fact check before printing their stories.
IF To and Wai are connected to this, then I'll give it some hope. IF, however, Andrew Lau, the real co-director of the INFERNAL AFFAIRS films, is involved, I can only hope it won't end up like another popcorn videogame-inspired film of his, AVENGING FIST. Of course, in my impression, Andrew Lau already did an INITIAL D type movie with LEGEND OF SPEED, so perhaps its time for someone like Johnnie To to give it a shot.
But Edison Chen? Sheeesh...
