i find charelene is better suited to lighter
roles like comedy, or action, while gillian
fares much better in drama or even period
style movies but regardless they are both
stunning:

Charlene is the best

Gillian Chung has a better presence screen as she takes more seriously her roles than Charlene Choi.
That said,Choi seems to be very good for light comedy because she is enthusiastic and cute. She'll surely have a lot of roles for the coming years.
Maybe Chung will be more rare but if she goes on this way,she could have an intense role in a great film one of these days that everybody will remember...
Wait ยง see.

My vote goes to Charlene. She has, to me, a compelling presence; the camera likes her and it's hard not to watch only her when she's on screen.
I disagree about her only being able to play cute and light comedy roles. In fact, it's her often hyper-cuteness that makes many people not value her as an actor. If you watch her in Just One Look and, especially, Funeral March, she pulls off serious roles with ease.
My theory is that she's naturally bubbly and as a result has gotten type cast that way. I can see James Yuen secretly dumping sugar into her lunch on the set of My Wife Is 18. But then check out the contrast during the scenes at the "flat" party when she realizes why she was invited, and afterward when she lets her pain out; she can do serious roles.
I hope other directors will see this and give her some more challenging roles; I think she's up to them.

Chung is much cuter, while Choi is probably the better actress.

So far i like Charlene Choi acting to be much better, because she bring more energy to the screen than Chung. Though i have to admit Gillian Chung is much hotter, and a better looking fighter than Charlene.

Of course, Gillian is much better than Choi at acting
I believe Gillian has potential power as a good actress.
In Beyond Our Ken, Gillian made me speechless.

WOW! I like Gillian a lot. But to say she's the next Michelle Yeoh is a little overboard IMO.

Agreed... I used to prefer Charlene when Twins first appeared on the scene, because she was more outgoing and charismatic whilst Gillian tended to be more of a background presence. However, over time Gillian has shown that she has much greater range and talent as an actress - Charlene basically seems to play herself in every film (though she was good and a bit different in FUNERAL MARCH).
I think that as they've grown older Gillian has matured into a much more attractive woman as well, whilst Gillian is still the "cute kid".
