Spirit vs Zombie

Postby Emperor » Fri May 06, 2005 1:39 pm

Hi,

I ran across this one aka:

Jiang shi da nao xi men ding (1989)

at IMDB:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0097620/

but there is virtually no information available - there or online and so i was wondering if it went by a different name.

Thanks in advance,

hey,

hkcinemagic lists 1986 as the release date but no other info other than what IMDB has. Probably an effort that came out all due to the success of Mr. Vampire.

hoppingghost: Will do - I have most of the ones I want or they are on order but it'd be interesting to find out what rare gems I've missed. ;)

I suppose the main ones I want aren't available yet on DVD - I believe Black Magic 2 was in the pipeline but still hasn't surfaced is that right?

Great tip:

Any film who's description ends along the lines of:

Otherworldly zombie chaos ensues.

Has my attention ;)

Hi fans of Chinese Ghost Films! Am more interested in the Ghosts or Zombies that wear the imperial dark blue clothing and hop about like mad while they look like there sleepwalking.

Anyways am looking for 2 specific titles, English would be preferred

The first title am looking for was set in the modern era in the city with a family of 3 Chinese Ghosts, 1 Dad, 1 Mum and 1 Son. They where found deep in the forest and brought back to the city. Towards the end the father and the mother got blown up into pieces by the military and the son managed to get saved.

The second title may actually be related to the first one, as I think this stars the son that was saved, and this is more of a comedy than the usual Chinese Ghosts Films. This again is set in the modern era in the city. And I vaguely remember that the Ghost child had to wear shades (to protect himself from the sun light) and extra clothing covering his face

Any help is appreiciated

Actually they both seem like Mr Vampire 2

The 3 vamps familia is definately MVamp 3

Also in that film the "CVK" aka cute vampire kid wears some sunglasses and looks at the blood bank with a smile.

I have all these avail on OFFICIAL sealed HK dvd and have the set in stock M Vampire 1 2 3 and 4
contact me to order via me website

Hi,
Thanks for the reply, I think Mr Vampire 2 was correct for the first title but I am still convinced theres another movie that has the CVK. I remember watching a film at a very young age, and there was a scene with the CVK in a garage and could'nt see due to the sunlight, and two kids had to give him sunglasses, but this was very long time ago and maybe mistaken. It was definetly not Mr Vampire 3, but since it was a long time ago it might have just been Mr Vampire 2. I have most vampire dvds, but this might actually be in the the same film I already have.

Thanks again and if you do recall any vampire movies with a CVK please do reply :)
