why when Kinki asks Roger to help Andy, Roger gets this wonderful idea that he and Kinki should get married ?!?!?!?!?! The urge to wed seems to have come out of thin air, completely random and unexplainable.

It was pretty abrupt.

Here's the way I took it: Roger is used to people always wanting him to help them in various ways, usually financially, because he's so rich. When Roger hears Kinki ask him to help Andy instead of herself, it confirms all the positive impressions he'd received thus far (the icing on the wedding cake, so to speak) and, being a man of action, he springs forward to make her his wife, something he'd been considering but just wasn't quite sure about till then (we might say he didn't Feel 100%).

Thanks, that is one way to look at it. The thing that puzzled me is this: Roger always suspected that Kinki is in love with Andy, so when Kinki wants to help Andy, Roger should be assured that Kinki is really in love with Andy and "get out of the way" so to speak. But he does the exact opposite. However your analysis makes sense, and I just have to accept that Ronald and I think differently.

Forum Alerts Forum

This sort of discussion should be attached to the movie page, though not sure how this could be managed without using a forum for each movie page.

IMDb has this feature, of course, but I find it a bit unweildy.

Bob, if individual forums for each movie were created as a link to each movie, would it be possible to create an "alerts" forum ?

What I mean is, suppose someone posts a discussion on this movie. An alert could appear on the "Movie Discussion Alerts" forum, so that we'd know to go and look at it (or not, of course).

That way, we wouldn't be trawling through 10,000+ movie titles looking for interesting stuff.

And to prevent waffle, these Alerts forums should be periodically checked and pruned.
