I apologise if there already has been a thread on this. It's been a long time since i was last on this forum. Will we ever see an uncut release of this? I have a bootleg of this and i assume it comes from the VHS verision as it appears most of the violence is intact. I recently stumbled upon the Deltamac vcd (i thought this wasn't available on vcd/dvd) and i hear it is more cut than the Tai Seng video. Is that so? can anybody confirm this?
What cuts (to the vcd and video) have been made to this? As for the freeze frame at the end, it seems a bit inconsistant to freeze that when all the other bits were simply cut.
It's great to see Lam Ching Ying in a dramatic role.

Love the film, i hope the vcd isn't even more censored.

hey,

I don't know if it was so much the violence in the Hong Kong print that was reduced (other asian countries had such trims though) but more a case of the harsh, social commentary being taken out. Can't document this but I have a feeling it was the case.

As for an uncut version, perhaps, but not in HK as no distributor is going to bother to search for the excised footage. Only chance is interest from abroad from either France or Japan I would say.
