Sorry if this thread has been done before, and I'm sure it has. But, can you guys recommend me some bullet ballets and brutal martial arts movies? I already own all of Woo's stuff and already know of all of Ringo's stuff. I also own Johnnie To's movies, and pretty much every other obvious choice for bullet ballets. For fights, I'm looking fo stuff similar to the fights seen in Police Story, Oldboy, No Blood, No Tears, and Ong Bak. If you guys could help, I'd appreciate it a lot. Thanks.

There are so many I suspect most of us don't know where to start!

Try looking up a director/star whose films you like, see what other films they made and read the reviews to see what people say about them :) That should lead you to other directors and stars, which will lead you to other films, which will lead...

:)

It's sort of tough for me to handle the gun fighting aspect since you seem to have seen the upper-echelon of gun fighting movies. What To movies have you seen? Lemme just throw some things out there, you may have already seen these:

High Risk (AKA Meltdown)
Time and Tide
Equilibrium (Not HK but incredible gun battles and just solid movie)

As far as fighting goes (this is tough because I don't know what you have seen, you may have seen many of these, I'll just point out my favorites):

Once Upon a Time in China series
36th Chamber of the Shaolin (You may not like this, it's oldschool kungfu, but it is the best out there)
One Armed Swordsman (Old school kungfu again)
The Blade
Iron Monkey
Snake in Eagles Shadow (Oldschool Chan)
Tai-Chi Master
Tai Chi 2
Tom Yum Goong

More but I can't quite recall right now...

Try SPL (aka SHA PO LANG) starring Donnie Yen, Simon Yam and Sammo Hung.

At least four phenomenal fights, but the penultimate one between Donnie Yen and Wu Jing must be seen to be believed, and is followed literally moments later by a brutal matchup between Donnie and Sammo. Pretty bloody movie, too.
