The Departed is in the process of finishing with Leo Di caprio in the andy lau role and matt damon in the tony leung role it looks like it will be rubbish and will follow the other copies of other asian films such as the ring

I just checked the IMDB credits for "The Departed" and while it might well be as bad as rip-offs/retelling/adaptions/whatever of exellent Asian movies often are, at least it is going to look and sound good.
Directed by Martin Scorsese, who knows all about how to put cops and robbers on screen.
Cinematogrpahy by Michael Ballhaus
Edited by Thelma Schoonmaker
Music by Howard Shore

I'm a huge fan of both Tony and Anthony, but to be calling DiCaprio and Damon bad actors is a bit of a stretch, don't you think?
