it's all right. The cast is fine and Chang Cheh transfers many elements from his MA movies to this more contemporary film. have to wait a bit to get all that though as the film is a bit of a yawner before its last reels. Was a co-directing effort though so Chang seemingly only worked on the parts that worked. Just my theory.

Same feelings here, didn't find a lot of opinions bout that.
The leading captain Hu is played by Chi Kuan Chu, rite ? I confuse him with Bruce Tong.

btw, the credits are proclaiming Baau Hok-Lai as 4th director
