THE CRIMINALS 2-5 - 70's Crime Anthologies on VCD from IVL

I recently finished reading Kate Whitehead's excellent book The Hong Kong Murders, which serves as a phenomenal backgrounder to several decades of murder, Chinese-style by exploring everything from the Jars Killer (filmed as DR. LAMB) to the Hello Kitty murder (THERE'S A SECRET IN MY SOUP, HUMAN PORK CHOP) to the criminal exploits of "Big Spender" Cheung Chi-keung (filmed as OPERATION BILLIONAIRES and BIG SPENDER).
I had long suspected the tabloid-style Hong Kong true-crime film was hardly an invention of the 90's, but just now discovered THE CRIMINALS, a series of five crime anthologies from 1976-77 that are soon to be released on VCD-only by IVL. Knowing that some of the crimes from Whitehead's book - including a fascinating one about a victim found stuffed in a TV box - are covered in this series makes me even more eager to pick these up. The first film was released on DVD awhile back, while the remaining four were released on April 27.
Has anyone picked these up yet? Only one review of the first one in the database, so I'm interested in other opinions:
