Can anyone recommend some hidden gem's? Any genre will do, so long as they are HK movies. I've probably seen every classic HK movie after the late 70's (and then some...) over the past few years and need some more good movies to watch.
Thanks in advance!

One of my all time favourite hidden gems is THE CASE OF THE COLD FISH. If you do a search of the forums, you'll probably find it mentioned a few times as one of those quirky little films that came flying out of left field.

I can heartily second Brian's recommendation for The Case of the Cold Fish. I just rewatched it last week and was moved to post a review of it here on the database. It is definitely near the top of my list for favorite HK comedies.
However, I need to add that my City Connection DVD of the movie has a bad problem with break up and hesitation around the 10 minute point (when Michael Wong first encounters Shing Fui On and the dead body). I sent at least three or four copies with the same problem back to Poker over a period of some months. Poker's service department was very obliging, but apparently there was a problem with an entire production run of the movie. Has anyone else had trouble with this disc? I would love to get a copy of the movie that would play straight through.

A poor DVD from City Connection, being Full Screen and vhs-like picture,
You are better off with the Universe VCD which was at least lbx.
If You have a dvd-burner then try to rip the film onto your HDD and then
burn a copy,it usually works with faulty HK discs that are printed on poor
quality media.
