Nice 'get'. Thanks for sharing it.

So, any personal impressons of Bai Ling? Nutty? Naive? Neither?

When I met her I didn't know what to expect. I'd seen her latest Chinese film, Dumplings, and loved her performance in that.

She's very bold, a free spirit if you will. Totally confident and in control.

Definitely the kind of person you could go out and have a laugh with.

It was a real pleasure talking with her and now I have to go back and re-watch The Crow as she had a part in that (and also Sky Captain and The World of Tomorrow).

After a long stint in Hollywood she's doing more Chinese cinema so I guess will be featured more on this site. ;)

Thanks Growler! That's a really great interview. I really have a lot of respect for Bai Ling for being totally herself in the face of so many people dissing her. She reminds me of one of my idols Nina Hagen, who also comes off a little nutty but is a very strong woman who lets her light shine brightly.

I'm looking forward to Shanghai Baby. Does anyone know who is directing?

Thanks for the kind words. I really enjoyed doing it.

The director for Shanghai baby is Berengar Pfahl.
