Well, I hunted high and low through the daily links and never found it, so might as well let you all know Ms Chung has fallen on hard times with the recent passing of her husband to cancer.

I would post links, but only a handful of you read Chinese...

Agreed, it's very sad indeed. Apparently, a very happy couple, separated too soon.

No doubt, the apostrophe threw our search engine off, if you tried 'Cherie Chung' instead of just 'Cherie':

Thread title spooked me for a moment, until I realized it was in reference to the news from late August, as mentioned. Almost wondered if things had gotten worse for her...

The search engine here is weird, though. Out of curiosity, I typed "Cherie Chung" with the "Search for all terms" button clicked (which is my usual method) and I got back several threads, but none of the daily news threads you posted, Dennis (although I'd already read them way back when). If I click the "Search for any terms or use query as entered" button, they do all show up, along with about ten pages of additional results, many of which are threads that don't even mention her name! Even more pages the second time I tried it. Almost like playin' a lottery!

I think the problem in this case is that the Cherie Chung related headers I used all said Cherie Chung's (note the apostrophe), so a search on Cherie Chung - using the All Terms option would fail. But plain ol' Cherie worked fine, as would Cherie Chung's (but who would have thought to). I couldn't find the articles myself until I did the latter two.
