I know quite a few of them but, having just watched Chin Man Kei's THE FORBIDDEN LEGEND: SEX & CHOPSTICKS today, I am thinking about wandering back through all the variant versions of the story. I'm sure I actually have quite a number of them on DVD, inclusive of the five part Taiwanese version, but who wants to throw out there all the versions of the tale?

Stumbled across THE GOLDEN LOTUS: LOVE AND DESIRE in my stacks tonight while looking for something else and remembered this thread. Haven't watched it yet, so don't know where it fits in with the other works or if it's part of a series, but the synopsis on the back declares that it is taken from Jin Ping Mei.
