Totally different movies - there's actually at least 5 movies that are considered official parts of the Mr. Vampire series, and about a dozen spin-offs/rip-offs that are at least related. The little vampire was in Mr. Vampire 2 and Mr. Vampire 3 I think... or was it 2 & 4?

I don't know the other vampire movie with the little vamp in the modern city. But I have a few Lam Ching Ying movies on DVD I need to watch and no time to do it!! It might be Dr Vampire (no LCY though) but I'm not sure.

Dr. Vampire is surprisingly good, but it's not a gyonshi movie, it's western vampires.

I've been reading this, http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/de ... s&n=507846

It's amazingly well researched. Pretty much every horror movie of the 80s and 90s gets a mention and breakdown.
