The listing for this film should probably be corrected to reflect that the English title is simply CITY COP, and not CITY COPS II, unless that's a more popular international title I'm unaware of, but I strongly doubt it. Whoever posted the original entry stuck the "II" from the Chinese title on to the English title, which happens more often with Hong Kong films than I canre to remember!

There is no CITY COP I as this film is a name-only sequel to Danny Lee's 1984 opus LAW WITH TWO PHASES, with which it shares its Chinese title (check the listings).

I'm not sure if the two films share characters so much as similar settings (the listings here list different character NAMES, but in the case of LAW, they look to be the names from the subs, not the soundtrack, though I could be wrong).

You are right, and Mr. Wong's screenshots are irrefutable.

I have not seen both movies but I am sure that "City Cops" is the sequel of "Law With Two Phases".

Changed main title to "City Cops" but kept the others as aliases.

Changed director.

Also added prod., presenters, assist. directors, film editor, 1 costume designer, gaffer, sound and 4 actors more.

And of course added several aliases more.
