Catching Murderer Overseas A Tiawanese production and a really terrible movie which isn't in the DB. Included only because of the images of Cynthia Khan, credited here as Cynthia Yang.

Plus a couple of quick screen grabs from that movie:

Geez, I have Catching Murderer Overseas in my "to watch" pile! Really that bad, eh? Cynthia still looks good, but the pictures on the package convinced me it was shot on video, and your screen captures appear to confirm that. Oh well, it's a job, I suppose...

I found another movie with Cynthia Khan that doesn't seem to be in DB:
Fatal love web (AKA Who killed him)
Co-starring Strawberry Yeung Yuk Mui
The year must be 2004, not sure

If it never makes it to the top of the pile you won't miss it. "Catching Murderer Overseas" is terrible--the ONLY reason to watch it is Cynthia. My copy has no subtitles although one probably doesn't miss much. It doesn't seem to have been directed--there was someone there to go over the blocking and yell "Cut" but it looks more like a taped walk-through than a finished movie. They either forgot to record ambient sound or just didn't bother with it.

The VCDs make nice coasters.

:D

I've got a rather large collection of coasters from very similar movies! There's a shop in Toronto that regularly unloads their older VCD's for 1/2 sticker price - and sticker price for probably 95% of their VCDs is $4.95 Canadian. So for about $2.50 you can pick up dozens of CATCHING MURDERER OVERSEAS-type films on the hopes that a precious few might actually have reasons to exist! Time and again, I end up with a lot of junk, and yet still I go back......
