I guess I'm just not that big a fan of the cast. The story is a typical one and decent but the characters don't make the story come alive for me.

Brothers Choi (Law Kim-Long) and Ching (Lam Kar-Sing) come to the aid of Kam-Heung (Chow Kwun-Ling) a street singer. She leaves her abusive foster parents and comes under the tutelage of Fong sifu.
She becomes a successful teahouse singer but catches the eye of big shot Cho. He coerces her into joining his household under threat of harming Choi whom she loves.

There are two songs in the film one by Law Kar-Sing and a duet by Chow Kwun-Ling and another woman who plays a fellow student of Fong sifu.

Ma Siu-Ying appears as the mother.
