Reviewed by: dandan Date: 03/18/2006 Summary: dumb, very dumb, but kinda fun... an absolutely ridiculous film, that is somehow pretty watchable, from dennis yu. a group of policeman are on their way to spu (special police unit) training, when they arrive, they find dean shek mincing around and taking far too much pleasure from beating them with his truncheon at every opportunity. one of the recruits fins some romance when he sneaks out and meets a local girl, although it's not quite that simple. the team bond by undertaking various standard, and not so standard, army / police training exercises, finally building up to their first assignment. just like 'police academy'; well, not really... the only actor, apart from dean shek, who i can remember is michael wong. not as dreadful as it should be, in fact, i'd go as far as saying that it's a fun watch.
