Summary: Very entertaining farce
Crazy Comedy (nostalgia)
Two women witness a murder while trespassing and to cover there tracks leave a note claiming it was the work of the Black Rose, not realizing that the Black Rose is real.
A very funny movie, Tony Leung is great as the mincing policeman Keith Lui, and Fung Bo-Bo is brilliant as the senile Black Rose. If you like this one, see "Rose, Rose I Love You."

Very funny farce in which two women accidentally foil a illegal transaction gone bad, and then credit it to the Black Rose, a television heroine of the 60's. But little do they know there really is a Black Rose. Wong Wan-Si, Fung Bo-Bo, and Leung Ka-Fai are in fine form here with their dead-on tributes to the classic HK romance serials.

One of the more successful example of genre blending post-modern filming by Jeff Lau. Take a romance of two nerdy characters of 90's and add in a amusing parody of heroine characters popular in HK movies of the 60's. The result is hilarious. Fung Bo-Bo's superb performance as a prematurely senile legendary heroine earned her a Best Supporting actress in the 12th HK Film Awards.
