Summary
Based on the famous "Strange Tales" (Liao2 Zhai1 Zhi4 Yi4). [hokazak] A naive young tax collector stumbles into a spooky castle, where he falls in love with a beautiful woman who, unfortunately, is dead. Their supernatural affair is further complicated by the evil Tree Demon. Aided by a fierce swordsman, our trusty tax man descends into hell to fight for the spirit he loves. [from the Rim Films Catalog] "The Enchanting Shadow (1960)" was used as the basis for this film.
