Chuck studied Tang Soo Do under Shin Jae-cheol. Chuck's students included martial arts actors Robert Wall and Pat E. Johnson, as well as many Hollywood celebrities such as: Steve McQueen; Chad McQueen; Bob Barker; Michael Landon; Dan Blocker (and his children); Jessica Simpson; Priscilla Presley and The Osmond Family (including Donny & Marie).

Bruce Lee Siu-lung trained with and traded techniques with several Korean stylists, notably Jhoon Rhee (Taekwondo) and Chuck Norris (Tang Soo Do), which helped him hone his kicking skills.

Darnell Garcia was a Chuck Norris Blackbelt and would compete as a member of Norris' competition team. But he didn't study directly under Chuck, his instructor was Gheral Taylor.
