Reviewed by: calros Date: 08/16/2005 Summary: Average chinese version of "The Golden Child" Cynthia Rothrock plays a Buddhist monk (!) with hair (of course), disciple of deceased Lam Ching Ying, who has the mission of finding and putting out of danger a "chosen child" with ESP who is also wanted by a dark sect. The child lives with Sheila Chan and Conan Lee, who spoil half of the movie and its martial scenes with unfunny gags. Lam seems unhealthy in the action sequences, but Cynthia and her stunt double do a great work here. At the end of the movie the spirit of Lam takes the body of Conan and he and Cynthia fight against the sect leader in a cave. But again this climatic scene is half-spoiled. This is the typical movie spoiled by cantonese kiddie gags, otherwise it would have been a good and funny action movie. Reviewer Score: 6
