**** HONG KONG NOCTURNE: Wonderfully enjoyable musical tale, carried along by the energy and beauty of the 3 leads. I must see more of this genre!

This flick is a delightful modern musical that tells the story of a trio of sisters who are trying to make it big in show business. The flick has a bunch of musical numbers such as ballet and the latest dance craze back then, “a go-go”. You’ll also find your typical sleaze balls in the entertainment businesses who are trying to make a quick buck along with your typical melodramatic moment when the leading male star of the flick (played by Peter Chen Ho) dies in a plane crash. All in all, the movie was quite enjoyable to watch. The three sisters (played by Lily Ho, Chin Ping, and Cheng Pei Pei) were all beautiful and quite refreshing. Recommended if you like musicals.
