Summary: Agree with Mr Booth!!

Basic plot with average fighting, this does have the feel of the big boss and even the actor has a slight resemblence to Bruce Lee. It's unfortunate that the main actor suicide before the movie is released at a young age of 24. The movie though expressed TOLERANCE but there is only so much a man can take!!

The movie itself and outside of it is a bit too much like Bruce Lee's life too, what a coincidence. Both didn't see the release of there movies, both died young, both are trained in martial arts, both have done this type of basic plot, what a shame!!

*** THE SHADOW BOXER Exceedingly basic story in the mould of "The Big Boss", which tries to bring a little of the philosophy of Tai Chi to the screen, before throwing it out of the window and showing how the art can be turned to revenge. Star Chen Wo Fu has plenty of charisma and could have maybe have done great things had he not died. Shih Szu almost steals the show though.
