Summary: Funny family comedy.

All you have to know about this provincial family comedy is that the zaftig comedienne Lydia Shum Tin-Ha plays one scene in a Wonder Woman costume. If you just laughed to yourself, you might want to check this movie out. Director Clifton Ko directs Ms. Shum and Bill Tung Biu in his screenplay about good people who do crazy things when large sums of money are won and lost. This film started a franchise that yielded a number of sequels. Look for Eric Tsang Chi-Wai with another crazy hairstyle.

Summary: no sign of a giant 'w'...

a pretty fun comedy with bill tung and lydia sum, playing the larget than life parents of the pui family. the family struggle financially and bill's job as a tv newsman is becoming more precarious as his blunders don't sit well with the new producer.

the oldest daughter runs wild with her boyfriend (smiley joe, played by eric tsang), the middle daughter wants to go to japan and the youngest daughter aspires to be a child genius, but falls a little short of the mark. all is set to change when they win the lottery, but not necessarily for the better...

an entertaining comedy...
