Summary: Maybe not spectacular,, but enjoyable, well-done Old School

Moonlight Sword and Jade Lion is pretty solid and standard late 70's KF movie. Angela Mao Ying is the lead, and she wields a short spear throughout the movie. This movie is a bit of a mystery, as Angela is seeking the friend of her Master, and has a lot of trouble finding him. Mostly decent weapons fights, and a LOT of trampoline acrobatics/somersaulting (which I love)---this movie also seemed to have pretty high production values--nice sets, costuming and cinematography. A little bit of silliness with some exploding weapons in one scene, but for the most part the fights are kept pretty tight and straight, and Angela is quite good with her spear. I thought it was a nice change of pace to have a female lead, and the Crash Cinema DVD that's out is a pretty clear widescreen print---and can be had very cheap--I found mine for $4.95. Well worth it.
