Biography
 
  Born in Shanghai, very soon he goes to live in Peking and works in the 20s as film critic in the "Hollywood" magazine. In 1932 he joins the Shanghai film industry until the japanese occupation in 1941. After the the Sino-Japanese war he resumes his career and in 1949 he co-founded his own film production company in Hong Kong, but dies soon after, in 1951
