Biography
 
  Her parents divorced when she was 4 years old and she was raised by her grandmother. She immigrated to Hong Kong with her mother at the age of 12 and started work as a part-time model at the age of 15. At the age of 17 she was signed as an artist by a brokerage company after she was unsuccessful in the 1990 Miss Asia contest.

Claiming she was afflicted with postpartum depression, in 2002 she ended her life by jumping from a building in Shanghai.
