I like your blog. It's nice to FINALLY read a review from someone who takes SILVERHAWK at face value. It's really not as bad as it's often accused of being by people who seem to have had their expectations set way, way to high. People not seeing it in theatres is endemic of most HK movies these days. It's box-office failure hardly means it's a bad film. Glad to see you enjoyed it.
I'm a little leery of your labelling of Korean cinema as the new Hong Kong Cinema in the review of SWORD IN THE MOON. Anthony Leong makes this mistake in his book, err, "Korean Cinema: The New Hong Kong," which is a decent read, but such a comparison ignores much of what has made Korean cinema unique since long before HK cinema even caught on in the west.
Nonetheless, I like your style and will check back from time to time.
