Nice catch! One would think the festival would update it's own website accordingly, but no such luck... On the other hand, Variety's list of Asian films at the TIFF leaves off four Asian titles playing in the Midnight Madness program. Guess they don't care about the fun stuff. :?

Nothing yet! Tickets for two programs go on sale Aug. 25, everything else is available Sept. 5, one stinkin' day before the festival starts. I think even last year there was a bit more advance opportunity to buy tickets. At this point, I'm hoping to get tickets to FLASHPOINT, VEXILLE and DAINIHHONJIN, but those are all Midnight showings, so they won't be hard to score. I'm very curious about Johnnie To's MAD DETECTIVE. Haven't heard anything about that so far. Pang Ho-cheung's THE EXODUS is a strong contender as well. I might also try for LUST, CAUTION, but since it's festival darling Ang Lee, that'll probably sell out quick. Outside of the Asian stuff, I'd also like to see Argento's MOTHER OF TEARS and Romero's DIARY OF THE DEAD.

Sometimes the best one can hope for with these festivals is to just grab what you can while you can, especially if you can't afford a full pass. :?

Colin Geddes' TIFF blog has some nice info on VEXILLE, is anyone's interested.

as well as a film called THEY WAIT, which seems to be some kind of Chinese-Canadian horror film starring Cheng Pei-pei (guess we know where she lives these days!), Jaime King and Fan's favourite Michael Biehn!

It just might be now! I haven't really been following the news about it, but it sounds like it's worth checking out. Of course, if Anthony Wong shows up, I fear I might turn into that which I fear the most - a fanboy. :(

Title from Korea seem scarce this year. I probably shouldn't be too surprised now that the wave is dying, but you'd think they could find more than just one (unsurprising) Hur Jin-ho movie. Perhaps they've got some more goodies up their sleeves...
