Interesting contrast with her woe-is-me blubbering during her previous invasion-of-privacy "scandal" (Bragate? Boobgate?). Still, I don't see why she should apologize; it's high time the prefab Twins grotesquerie found a new hook. Now, Edison Chen being a big posturing fool with more money and free time than brains, on the other hand . . . I think that boy's still got some 'splainin' to do. Shame he might be doing it to Albert Yeung's goons.

Yep, got to give it to Gillian for facing the music, though some blogs say she was compelled to appear by EEG. It's probably a smart PR strategy to get it behind her, if it's possible. And it's certainly better than keepin-it-real EDC did with his video.

The pre-packaged nature of that press conference is almost overwhelming, but then that's really what her entire career is about isn't it? Endless micromanaged blitzes to mask some very moderate talent. Everyone knew this would a tightly controlled event going in, and it's probably the only way most of the girls will be handling this (well, the ones who have careers worth saving, anyways). Recovering their full glory still seems iffy to me, but I suppose anything's possible. While my inner cynic would he overjoyed to see Edison Chen off the silver screen for good, maybe with enough corporate spin, even he can maintain his shamelessly materialist ways (some Chinese friends of ours remarked just yesterday that they know of no one who thinks he's a good actor). Still, those Vincy pics . . . might be wise for him to invest in an athletic supporter. :?
