I'm in the process of watching a rather insipid drama called TO LOVE FERRARI starring this pop singer and I'd like a little background on her. The HKMDB review (there's only one) says "Cheesy fun, especially when keeping Vivian's real career and (lack of) talent in mind." Is there something I should know? I've only seen her in PATH OF GLORY, UNMATCHABLE MATCH, FUN & FURY, ARREST THE RESTLESS and NO REGRET, NO RETURN and to be honest, as cute as she is, she's a non-entity to me. Was Vivian Chow a big thing when she was active in the industry? I found a website that lists her favourite group as The Carpenters, her favourite movie as The Sound of Music and her religion of choice as Christian. so I have this sneaking suspicion that her projected image in those days - as now - would make my teeth rot. There's a dream sequence at the beginning of TO LOVE FERRARI where she's giving a "concert" backed by some dancers and, to be honest, there wasn't much stage presence on display. I also discovered, thanks to this film, that I have some of her songs on compilation CDs, since they seem to be on the soundtrack to this film as well. One particularly fowl number is called "I Remember Your Love" (if i recall correctly) which ends with this creepy child's voice babbling along with Vivian. To be honest, this film is really starting to get on my nerves the more I think about it! Am I alone in this thinking, or is Vivian Chow simply a beautiful but moderately talented starlet??
