OK, but you forgot to merge the chinese names (symbols) too, so one of them is lost now.

you merged:

Tony Miu King Fai + Tony Mau Gin Fai {as alias}

[OK: now if anybody searchs Tony Mau or Tony Miu in the Db, he will go to the right entry]

but in the chinese version of these entries you did not merge:

繆健輝 + (the other chinese name now dissapeared) {as alias}

[now if anybody chinese searchs (the other chinese name now dissapeared) in the Db, he will not find nothing]

Also, if another editor does his work in chinese (as myself) and find again "the other chinese name now dissapeared" in a new movie, he will create again another "Tony Miu" and we will have again 2 cinematographers with the same name.

Calros, I am glad you pointed this out.

I can look in the DB backup archives for the Big5 name, so it's not lost yet. As soon as I get a chance tonight (my time) I will add it back in...

And just a note to all editors to keep in mind that this is, above all, a bi-lingual (Chinese and English) DB, and that means equal time and effort to both languages.

If there is ever any question or uncertainty about doing an edit, please post the question on the board or contact me directly.

Everyone is doing a a great job. When mistakes happen, we can use it as an opportunity to learn.

I did not fix it. Maybe it was Mr. Crawford himself.
