Seeing that prostitute in shot #4 reminds me of that throwaway gag where Anthony removes a banana from her crotch and flings it over his shoulder before he prepares for, uhh, entry.

Well, it was funny to me.

Anyways, back to your regularly scheduled programming.

2. Actually "Cheung Lau"...also in Ivan Lai's THE IMP

(this was also the lady you were trying to identify from SATAN RETURNS)

3. Yes, definitely Mariane Chan

Not seen on the big screen since TROUBLESOME NIGHT 4 (the one filmed in Manila); has since moved on television series.

Thanks Mike, glad to have those IDs - both actresses I would happily look out for in other productions :D I think we can safely conclude that the Cheung Lau/Liu who loses her heart in one film and an eyeball in another is not the same lady that was in various Shaw Brothers films in the 70's, or Zhang Yimou's TO LIVE in 1994 anyway!

Indeedy! I think the confusion lies in the fact that "Liu" is the common Mandarin variant of the Cantonese "Lau". If you've ever seen Ivan Lai's THE IMP, then I'm sure you've already seen quite a LOT of Ms Cheung! ;)

I think I saw THE IMP back in the day but don't remember much of it - but Ebola Syndrome doesn't leave any part of Miss Lau unshown as it is
