School on Fire VCD

Postby Tonic » Sat Mar 11, 2006 9:54 pm

Hi, I was just about to get the School on Fire VCD by Deltamac, but it seems to have gone out of print just about anywhere - does anyone have any suggestions where I might find it. I've already checked ebay, yesasia, play-asia, dvdynot.

Cheers

You might want to wait and see if Joy Sales release it on DVD... it's sure to be a popular request... in fact, you might want to vote for it :)

and for how you'd like to see it (please say no to DTS remixes of old mono films!)

I voted for...nothing!

I figure the pedants, out to dictate their own petty ideals to the masses, will ruin this venture soon enough and Fortune Star will pull out of the licencing arrangement soon enough too -- so no point in voting.

The marriage of obsessive, anally-retentive "fans" and comercial business interests is NOT one I see lasting very long. In fact, when the bottom-line becomes apparent I can see "outside input" being severed pretty swiftly -- it's a nice gesture for a HK video company to field input from the "fans", but I can see it going the way of Celestial's correspondence with outsiders once the usual, disgraceful "bully-boy" tactics (that are commonplace from select quarters of online Asian cinema fandom) set in...

Sun Entertainment has some in stock. I think they even have some of the old Megastar ones left also. e-mail them your order or wants because they don't update their site regularly and post only the popular/recent titles. They've been around for 7 yrs. and still have a lot of old stock.
