hey,
I have a quick-take review in the works, based on a cd-r taken from a poretty poor quality source. Basically taking the subplot between him and Wu Ma from Righting Wrongs (father and son, both on the force) and expanding that. Add some gritty action and a parade of profiles of the era and you'll get a satisfying package. Righting Wrongs need not feel threatened but In The Blood is all right.
The fact that a Japanese company sourced a 16:9 print for it proves that it has fans willing to risk financial loss on a title for dvd release. Wish that mentality resided in HK.
