I was eyeing this for months in the $1 VCD leftover bins I've been raiding all year, and had seen it pop up in various shops over the years, but never felt compelled to pick it up. Now the cheap VCD racks are no more (at least at my main supplier; I'm still looking around the city), so I guess I missed my chance.

Still, interesting cast . . . (certain gweilos notwithstanding )

You didn't miss much. The whole thing is rather childish an uninteresting.

I usually like this kind of shows. Your gweilo friend actually has some of the more funny aspects of the show when they are making fun of his chinese pronunciation skills, and not even that is that funny. So you are better of spending the money on something else
