I have to agree with Moonlight express but where did you get a copy of ALL FOR THE WINNERS i don't see it on vcd anywhere!!! My fav movie all time is STORMRIDERS because it is a manga brought to life Most Jackie chan movies but lately his stuff is nowhere near is 1980's movies Jet Li movies in general because they all kick ass, especially HIGH RISK HARDBOILED, the action cop's and robbers movies out there!! STEPHEN CHOW movies, since most of them are SO DAMn funny, espcially ROYAL tramp series LEGEND OF THE WOLF Donnie Yen's best work Chinese Ghost stories series The DAy the sun turned cold one of the best dramas out there NEEDING YOU the best romantic comedy ever!! 1. Fong Sai Yuk 2: first HK movie I saw in the U.S., thus remains my favorite 2. Once Upon a Time in China - the greatest HK movie ever made. 3. Storm Riders - just awesome & cool & doesn't try to contain gags. 4. Fong Sai Yuk - almost as good as part 2 5. Peking Opera Blue - excellent but little known movie. A must see; do not let the title bother you. 6. Barefoot Kid - the most flawless movie ever made 7. Fire Dragon - watched it over and over and want to watch more of it! 8. A Better Tomorrow - the only action movie to top my list 9. Handsome Siblings - one of my all time favorites, I can't say it has too much merit though. 10. Prodigal Son - excellent kung fu and cast. 11. King of Beggars - a Stephen Chow movie that focuses on the story and exploitates characters. 12. Dragon Inn - I'm still looking for a copy on DVD! 13. Saviour of the Soul - it gets better with every viewing 14. Future Cops - great example of the meritless action comedies that my friends love 15. Deadful Melody - made in the form of TVB series, but does much better. I've seen about 500 Chinese movies and probably will see 1000 more when I have time.

Oh man I could name a hundred. I know I'll probably forget a couple of gems but off the top of my head.... 1. Bullet In The Head : The immortal John Woo's best IMO and to think it didn't star Chow Yun Fat. 2. Hardboiled : Another Woo film. This is the one that got me into HK films other than just old Shaw Bros. Prod. 3. The 5 Deadly Venoms : The film that made me fall in love with the martial arts genre in the first place. 4.Sex & Zen : Hysterical 5. New Legend Of Shaolin : My first sight of Jet Li. Incredible. 6.Fong Sai Yuk 1&2 : IMO Jet's Best work 7. Drunken Master 2 : My Favorite Jackie movie. Ken Lo is awesome. 8. Legend Of The Wolf : Why doesn't Donnie Yen do more films like this. 9.Once A Thief : OK I know I'm starting to sound like a Woo fanboy but I love this movie. 10. Fist Of Legend : For some reason Easterners didn't like this film. I don't know why, I found it fantastic. 11. Eat Drink Man Woman : Forget Crouching Tiger. This is Ang Lee's true masterpiece. 12. The Day The Sun Turned Cold : Not sure if it was a HK production or not. But what a film! Excellent acting and pacing. 13. Stormriders : Not that I thought it was a tremendous plot or great acting. It brought HK films into the new age of film making. 14.A Better Tomorrow : Alright! Alright! I'm a John Woo fanboy. So shoot me, heck everyone else gets shot in this one anyway. 15.Running Out Of Time : I heard someone say it was predictable. IMO this movie broke new ground from the usual HK cop films. Honorable Mentions : Mortal Combat (AKA Crippled Avengers) Bride With White Hair Heroic Trio 5 Fingers Of Death King Of Beggars God Of Gamblers Prison On Fire Beyond Hypothermia 32 Like I said I probably missed 50 more. By the way although a Japanese film I too truly loved Battle Royal.

Obviously people didn't like it as much as you and other action fans did. I think it was pretty good, but it's just too violent to be of merit.
