How did Invincible Asia capture the Sacred Volume?

Swordsman 2 was the first HK movie I started watching in recent years, and I finally saw Swordsman 1 tonight. However, I don't think either film explains how Asia the Invincible (Brigitte Lin) was able to obtain the Sacred Volume, which Jacky Cheung's character got ahold of at the end of part 1 (if I'm not mistaking), and Asia Invincible already had the Sacred Volume at the beginning of part 2. I guess I need to read the novel to understand it fully.
