Getting hold of HK films

If I can still change your mind, I would not recommend WA dvds very much. Most of their releases are cut cut cut (Heroic Trio is 6 minutes shorter, that's 8% content missing). I would say only get their stuff if you're looking for the best price.<br><br>

What's cut in Heroic Trio? They probably used the PAL transfer. Some WA releases I have are longer. A Better Tomorrow 3 is the longer version compared to the LD and MegaStar DVDs. Same can be said of Miracles also.<br><br>Silver Fox

I have no idea what was cut out of the Heroic Trio (I haven't seen any other release), but it was only 82 minutes long. The biggest disavantage to a WA disc, I find, is that there's no extra feature. But that's to be expected for the low price.<br><br>

to be fair, the major advantage of a WA disc is the picture and sound quality. So far all the dvds I've gotten from their featured AC-3 dolby 5.1 surround, and the picture is ultra crisp. It's weird to think that the Magnificent Butcher DVD, a movie from 1979, looks better than any dvd release of Once Upon a Time in China (except the HKL one which I haven't seen).<br><br>
