I'm not a big fan of special effects. I think Legend of Zu was a disaster. I don't know if Tsui Hark really thought bombarding the audience with special effects was enough, or if he had something else in mind when he made the movie -- I don't know, the guy is a genius, maybe he intended something else, but all I saw was special effects, and that is a very bad thing.<br><br>However, I disagree that Storm Riders needed more physical interaction. It is one of the only movies that I think is perfect the way it is. Since it was adapted from a comic book, the special effects gave us exactly the comic book feel. More physical contact would have made it more of a martial arts movie, which would have been less interesting because we've had so many of those in the early 90s. Personally, I love supernatural forces, so all the supernatural powers that the characters had was a big turn on for me.<br><br>
