Born in Shanghai, he moved to Hong Kong in 1957; that same year is published his first novel, "Buried Alive". Next year he begins his prolific career as chivalric fiction writer, and in 1962 he writes his first science-fiction novel. But he also writes prose, essay, political criticism and film scripts. In short, more than 300 novels and 400 film scripts. Soon he becomes President of the Hong Kong Writers Association. Trivia: His personal record are 4,500 characters/hour.
