Tang Kei Chen was a radio anchor in the forties, known for his comic sense and his ability
to produce up to eight difference voices on air, an ability that won him the name King of
Comedy. He came to Hong Kong in 1950, joined Rediffusion and hosted the Tang Kei
Chens Comedy Hour. At the same time he started to make movies which were mostly
comedies. The most famous among them are the Two Fools series in which he played side
by side with Tang Wing Cheung. With one of them playing dumb and the other playing
smart and both of them ad-libbing all time, their co-operation was considered close to
perfection. Tang appeared in over 150 films which include A Star of Mischief is Born,
The Feud between Two Con Men, and Two Fools in Paradise. He emigrated to Canada
in 1975, after which he made guest appearances from time to time in Hong Kong.
