Speaking of new finds, I couldn't resist revisiting the same movie & music wholesale place I mentioned in a very recent post, where the VCDs were all $2.50. I deliberately skipped an aisle last time because the place was closing, but took care of that tonight.
As always, hints as to whether I've actually got anything worth watching are always appreciated!
LUCKY DIAMOND (1985, Ocean Shores) Anita Mui, Alex Man, directed by Yuen Cheung-yan. Looks like a comedy with some martial arts action, if the sleeve's anything to go on.
LOVE AND JUSTICE (19??, Universe) Not in the database, and not much I can tell from the sleeve, but looked interesting. Looks like it might be a noir-ish romantic cop thriller.
BODYGUARD FOR THE DEAD (1999, B&S) Realized from looking this up in the database, that it's from the director of THERE'S A GHOST IN THE BOY'S ROOM, an interminable turd of a movie. What have I done! Ryan's review in the DB offers some hope, though. In fact, Ryan's reviews of a lot of this DV product from 99 and 00 have been most helpful!
ONCE UPON A TIME IN TRIAD SOCIETY 2 (1996, Fitto) I've been looking for this for years and didn't even know I'd found it tonight until I popped it in to see what the title was: there's no English on the package, unfortunately.
FIRE PHOENIX (1990, Universe) FINALLY filled one of about two holes in my "Complete Works of Wong Chan-yeung" collection, this Sibelle Hu actioner will hopefully fit nicely with Devil Hunters, Dragon Fighter, Mission of Justice, Angel Terminators 2, Mighty Gambler (one of his best!), etc.
FIREFOX'S KILLER (1990, Universe). Don't know much about this one, outside of Leung Kar-yan and Austin Wai. Cover looked damned cool, though...
ONE ARM HERO (1994, Universe) Another one I've been looking for for ages. The final chapter of the Sam The Iron Bridge trilogy. Not overly well reviewed here, but I'm a completist if nothing else.
WONDERFUL KILL (1993, Universe) Shing Fui-on, Lin Wai, Karel Wong. Judging from the photos on the sleeve, and the participation of the same director, this has the potential to be as bad as VENGEANCE OF SIX DRAGONS, which I also picked up in recent weeks (and reviewed here). Oh well, even junk like this has its moments!
Had to scrounge deep for these next few Category III goodies. These tended to be the last copies the store had, while they had multiples of just about everything else!
THE LAST DUEL (1989) Alex Man, Rosamund Kwan. This one's weird. The sleeve seems to indicate that it's both Cat. III and Cat. II. You can see it labelled as such on the VCD sleeve uploaded by Young Master.

Anybody familiar with something like this? Are both versions included on this disc or something?
EDIT: I just opened this and the disc labels indicate the Mandarin version is Cat. III and the Cantonese Cat. II, so I'll assume this has something to do with language. Never seen that before.

TAKING MANHATTAN (1992, Mei Ah) Carrie Ng. Directed by Kirk Wong.
INFORMER (1995, Star) Another presentation from Danny Lee's Magnum Video Productions. I never seem to be let down by these...
BUDDHIST (20??) Can't tell much about this one. It's a Cat. III horror flick directed by and starring Hugo Ng. The english title has the letter 'U' upside down and the two 'D's backwards, so it should be interesting to get it into the DB.
UNIDENTIFIED ROBERT MAK VIDEOGRAMME (19??) have no idea what this is beyond some kind of supernatural chiller, but I'll eventually post screen grabs to at least get it into the DB, as it's not there now. No english subs, no english title whatsoever.
