Biography

When he was in Secondary School he joined a musical band as singer; in 1970 he won the Hong Kong Beach Music Festival. After a break studying in Singapore, he returned to Hong Kong in 1974 to join musical band "Wynners" with Kenny Bee. The band gained so much popularity that they had their own TV show, "Wynners' Special", and finally debuted in movies with "Let's Rock" in 1975. After several films together the band split to begin their respective careers; Tam began his career in Taiwan in 1979, and in 1981 he won the Golden Horse Film Award for "If I Were For Real". Back to Hong Kong he resumed his musical career with astounding success, so very soon he created his own international companies of food, beverage, telecommunications and consumer products, as well as charity organizations.
